The Mendocino Food and Nutrition Program will be hosting a drive-thru pop up for fresh, premade food distribution in Willits today at 1250 Blosser Lane from 10 am to 11:30 am. Swing by for a delicious premade meal.
Mendocino County residents can receive food assistance today at the Fort Bragg Food Bank from 4pm to 6pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. The Mendocino Community Food Pantry will also be hosting a food distribution today, and every Thursday, from 2 to 4pm at 44831 Main Street next to the Mendocino Presbyterian Church. Residents can receive a hot meal at Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 58 Bush St. Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Additionally, the Anderson Valley Senior Center has hot meals available for dinner today at the Veterans Hall in Booneville. For details, call 895-3609. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program.
Food for People will be hosting food distributions around Humboldt County today. The McKinleyville Pantry at 1615 Heartwood Drive will be open from 10 am until 3 pm. The Willow Creek Pantry will be open today from 10 am until 12 noon, located at 38883 Highway 299. Community food distribution will be happening today at the Myers Flat Fire Station located at 54 Myers Avenue from 12 noon until 3 pm. And in Garberville, the pantry at 437 Maple Lane will be hosting a distribution from 2 to 4 pm.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at the Cal Poly Humboldt Quad located at 1 Harpst Street in Arcata from 11 am until 4 pm. And as always, the blood bank is open Monday thru Friday, located at 2524 Harrison Avenue in Eureka. To schedule an appointment to donate, visit nccbb.net
Tonight’s talk show from 7-8pm will be “Off the Cuff” with Sue Moloney and guests and you, the callers. “Off the Cuff” is a new show hosted by Sue Moloney. From 7:30 to 8pm they will be taking calls. CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year–round to avoid receiving a violation.
Today, Thursday, February 6th, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
