WHAT: Eel River Expo: A FREE Source to Sea Community Event 

WHEN: April 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM  

WHERE: Fortuna River Lodge, 1800 Riverwalk Drive, Fortuna, California 

This event celebrates the beauty and vitality of the Eel River watershed while fostering community engagement and watershed stewardship. The family-friendly Expo will bring together Eel River watershed community members of all ages, local science teacher presentations, Tribes, state and federal leaders in watershed management, student groups, conservationists, and outdoor enthusiasts to explore and appreciate the Eel River watershed through a variety of activities, including educational workshops, interactive exhibits, art, games for kids of all ages, music, food vendors, and opportunities to connect with local organizations working to protect, restore, and provide access across the watershed. 

We would greatly appreciate your help in sharing these event posters with your community! Please consider posting the included posters in visible locations, such as community centers, local businesses, or other high-traffic areas, to help spread the word about this exciting event. Your support in promoting the Eel River Expo is invaluable! 

In addition to the Expo, CalTrout is hosting an Eel River Photo Contest, which invites photographers to capture the river’s stunning landscapes through themes of wildlife, recreation, access, and restoration. A grand prize winner will be voted on by the public at the Expo.
