Fortuna Police Arrest Registered Sex Offender for Possession of Child Pornography 

The Fortuna Police Department has arrested 49-year-old Jacob Roberts, a registered sex offender, on charges of unlawful possession of obscene material involving a minor. On Sunday, March 8th, an investigation into Roberts’ phone revealed that he was in possession of child pornography.

Fortuna Police shared the following information: 

According to the state’s Megan’s Law website, Roberts has a sex offender risk assessment score of 20, which is classified as high. California uses the score to assess the risk of violent re-offense by sex offenders and guide treatment and supervision decisions.
