SYNOPSIS:  Scattered to numerous showers are expected today through

Saturday as the cutoff low moves southward. Below normal high

temperatures are expected on Saturday. Followed by dry and warming

trend Sunday through mid next week.

TODAY: 

Inland: Showers likely, mainly after 5pm. Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 58. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Along the Coast: A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 54. West northwest wind 3 to 6 mph. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: howers likely before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers after 2am. Patchy fog before 11pm, then patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 46. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible. 

Along the Coast:  A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 46. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Extended Forecast: A split-flow upper low continues to drift southward off the coast, keeping most dynamic forcing well south and west of the region, which limits thunderstorm potential despite lingering moisture and instability. Shallow convection may still produce isolated lightning over the interior mountains of Trinity, Mendocino, and Lake counties, with rainfall totals averaging around 0.2 inches through Saturday. Scattered to numerous showers are expected through the weekend, with Saturday’s highs running 5–12°F below normal and overnight lows staying in the 40s due to persistent low-level moisture. Clearing skies Sunday will bring a warming trend, with frost possible in colder valleys Sunday night and inland highs climbing to around 80°F by midweek.

	Waves	NW 4 ft at 6 seconds and NW 3 ft at 11 seconds. A chance of showers.

	Waves	NW 3 ft at 6 seconds and NW 4 ft at 11 seconds. A chance of showers.

The next low tide will be at 4:03 pm. The first high tide will be at 10:07 am and the next high tide at 10:15 pm.  The waning crescent moon rose in the east at 5:05 am and will set in the west at 5:55 pm.  According to the solunar theory, today is a good day for fishing, the fish activity forecast is high.
