SYNOPSIS: .Transitioning weather patterns continue as moisture makes its way into the area around the top of the ridge. Light rain was observed this morning in Del Norte but is likely to taper off before noon. Clouds could hinder the inevitable warm up near the coast. Warming will commence Tuesday and Wednesday with highs around 90 inland. Cooler temperatures are expected late in the week.
TODAY:
Inland: Sunny, with a high near 77. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light after midnight.
Along the Coast: Cloudy, with a low around 47. North wind 6 to 9 mph.
Extended Forecast: A weak upper-level low interacting with high pressure is bringing unsettled conditions, including widespread stratus and light stratiform rain, especially near the north coast. Cloud cover is expected to linger through the morning in lower elevations before retreating to higher terrain by afternoon. Temperatures will remain moderated by cloud cover, with no frost expected and gradual warming into midweek as high pressure strengthens. By Thursday and Friday, cooling returns with more marine clouds and a slight chance of light rain before high pressure rebuilds into the weekend.
