SYNOPSIS: Warm and dry conditions expected through Wednesday beneath high pressure. Upper level disturbances possible late this week and weekend with cooling and potential for light rain.
TODAY:
Inland: Partly sunny early, then becoming sunny, with a high near 80. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Along the Coast: Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. North northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Along the Coast: Increasing clouds, with a low around 46. North northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Extended Forecast: Warm and dry conditions will continue through Wednesday, with interior highs reaching the mid to upper 80s, especially in areas like Ukiah and Covelo. Coastal areas will remain cooler due to lingering marine stratus, particularly around Humboldt Bay and the Eel River Valley. Breezy winds may elevate fire weather concerns, though they fall short of Red Flag criteria. Cloud cover will increase late Wednesday into Thursday as a weak system brushes the region, bringing cooler temperatures and a slight chance of drizzle or light rain in far northern areas.
