SYNOPSIS: Warmer weather will continue through late week. Hot temperatures likely Friday and Saturday for the interior before a quick trend downward next week. Gusty northerly winds possible this weekend and early next week.

In Humboldt and Mendocino Counties, grass pollen counts are high. 

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 82. North wind 3 to 7 mph.

Along the Coast: Mostly sunny, with a high near 66. Light north northwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Mostly clear, with a low around 54. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Along the Coast:  Patchy fog after 11pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. North northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light west northwest in the evening. 

Extended Forecast: A weak front brings clouds to far Northern California early today, with dry conditions and warming temperatures as high pressure builds. Heat intensifies Friday with widespread moderate to major heat risk and possible triple-digit highs inland, though marine air could slightly reduce temperatures while increasing humidity. A trough arriving Saturday may cool some interior areas by 5–10°F and bring gusty northwest winds, elevating fire risk. Winds strengthen into Sunday and Monday, bringing further cooling and continued fire weather concerns, with low but possible chances of precipitation early next week.
