SYNOPSIS: Slightly cooler temperatures are expected Tuesday and
Wednesday. Warming is expected again Thursday with additional
warming Friday and heat continuing into the weekend
TODAY:
Inland: Partly sunny, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon.
Along the Coast: Partly sunny, with a high near 64. Light southwest wind
TONIGHT:
Inland: Increasing clouds, with a low around 52. South southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening
Along the Coast: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54. Calm wind.
Extended Forecast: A low pressure system off northern California’s coast brought some rain and thunderstorms to inland areas yesterday evening, but it’s now moving north and weakening. Today will see cooler temperatures in the 80s and 90s with possible light coastal drizzle, and rain chances are decreasing as the system moves away. Starting Thursday, high pressure will build back in, bringing dangerously hot weather with temperatures likely exceeding 100°F in interior valleys, and possibly reaching 105°F or higher by Friday. This extreme heat is expected to continue into early next week, creating dangerous conditions for people without adequate cooling, especially those who are heat-sensitive
