Westport Volunteer Fire Department Fundraising Barbecue

The Westport Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its Annual Fundraising Barbecue on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from noon until dusk. Enjoy an afternoon of fun and great live music on the spectacular Westport Headlands, while helping support the Westport Volunteer Fire Department.

Admission is free.

Live music will be provided by Steven Bates, Caspar Kings, Moon Rabbit, the Steven Bates Band, and the Bay Area Talking Heads tribute band “Burning Down the House.”
Barbecued brats and loaded baked potatoes will be for sale. Local artisan craft beer, wine, coffee, sweets and non-alcoholic beverages can also be purchased. There will be plenty of fun activities for the whole family, including two bounce houses, face painting
and a children’s obstacle course. Craft merchants will be selling their wares, and there will also be a silent auction of some very special items. A medical helicopter from Reach/CalStar may pay us a visit if weather and availability cooperate. (Sorry, no dogs.)
The Westport Volunteer Fire Department provides year-round initial 911 emergency response service 24/7 for medical emergencies, motor vehicle accidents, traumatic injuries and fires on the Northern Mendocino Coast. Our response area now covers roughly 190 square miles. Proceeds of the event will be used to fund critical upgrades to a new quick attack emergency response vehicle.
