Extended Forecast: A dry weather system high in the atmosphere will keep the area stable, dry, and with temperatures close to average for most of the week. Temperatures will gradually rise Tuesday through Thursday as winds from the ocean decrease. By Friday and into the weekend, a strong high-pressure ridge will move in, bringing much warmer than normal temperatures to inland areas, while coastal areas (especially near Mendocino) might stay cooler because of marine air and low clouds. There’s a risk of significant, prolonged heat inland (with some locations potentially reaching 100–110°F), so watch for heat-related updates.
