Extended Forecast: A dry cold front is moving in, bringing some high clouds but generally dry conditions, with a thin layer of cool, moist air near the coast stretching inland. Temperatures today will be close to average, with hot weather inland (upper 80s to mid 90s) and mild temperatures near the coast (mid to upper 60s). Starting Friday, a warm air mass will settle in, sending temperatures well above normal—especially in valley areas, where many spots could hit over 100°F through Monday, prompting likely heat advisories for areas like Trinity County. While the heat will persist for several days inland, cooler marine air is expected to return and bring some relief by the middle of next week.
