NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REPORT
Friday, September 26th, 2025
SYNOPSIS: Warm and dry weather will persist this week. Dry northerly flow will clear out most of the coastal stratus this week, allowing for better duration of coastal sunshine. Rain chances arrive late Sunday, with increasing probability for widespread rainfall and periods of breezy winds through early next week. The opportunity for additional rainfall may continue through mid next week.
TODAY:
Inland: Sunny, with a high near 89. North wind 7 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Along the Coast: Sunny, with a high near 66. Light north northwest wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Clear, with a low around 50. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light in the evening.
Along the Coast: Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 51. West northwest wind 5 to 8 mph becoming calm in the evening.
Extended Forecast: A series of storm systems will bring cooler weather, periods of moderate to heavy rain, and gusty southerly winds to the region starting late this weekend. After a brief warmup into the 90s on Friday, temperatures will drop sharply by Sunday as clouds and rain move in. The first system could bring a weak atmospheric river, delivering beneficial rainfall to drought-stricken areas along with winds of 20–40 mph, especially in higher terrain. Another strong storm is likely to follow, with the potential for heavier rain and stronger winds depending on its exact track.
