Extended Forecast: A second weather front is moving through the area today, bringing more wind than rain—especially to Humboldt and Del Norte counties—after Monday’s rain left low-level moisture and patchy fog. Rainfall totals with this front are expected to be light overall, but higher amounts are likely in mountainous areas due to terrain effects. Stronger winds are possible in higher elevations and near the coast, with gusts potentially reaching 40–50 mph, prompting a wind advisory. After some lingering showers midweek, dry weather is expected to return by the weekend, along with cooler nights that could lead to frost in colder inland valleys.
