SYNOPSIS: A weakening cold front is expected to bring a chance

for light rain primarily to Del Norte and northern Humboldt counties

on Thanksgiving Day. A cooling trend follows for the weekend with

dry conditions and a chance for freezing temperatures during the

morning hours.

Inland: Partly sunny, with a high near 66. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Partly sunny, with a high near 59. Light northwest wind.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 44. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Light north northeast wind.

Extended Forecast: A weak cold front will bring light rain showers to Del Norte and Northern Humboldt counties on Thanksgiving Day, with less than a tenth of an inch expected through Friday, while other areas stay mostly dry. Over the weekend, another weather system will move through, but conditions are expected to remain dry with an 80% chance of no rain, though cold temperatures will likely trigger frost advisories and freeze warnings for several nights. Early to mid next week, another weather system may bring strong north and northeast winds by midweek. The overall weather pattern suggests predominantly dry conditions will continue, with only a small 10-20% chance of brief precipitation in Del Norte and Trinity Counties.
