Support for the Caregivers of those with cognitive impairments:
A group for caregivers assisting adults with cognitive impairment has been formed in Garberville. A collaboration between Redwood Caregiver Resource Center, Healy Senior Center, and Heart of the Redwoods Community Hospice – is offering Caregiver Support Groups. These support groups are a safe place to share, access community resources – and form peer connections. The group meets on the first and third Thursday of the month from 1:30 to 3:00. The first Thursday meeting is in person and held at the meeting room at Hospice in Garberville – 464 Maple Lane. The next meeting – on the third Thursday – is a zoom meeting. The next group will meet on July 17th – and will be on zoom. In August the groups will meet on the 7th and 21st.
