Route 36 is FULLY CLOSED east of Swimmer’s Delight near the Devil’s Elbow picnic area (PM 15-16) to allow crews to remove additional slide material. The road will be closed today from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Vehicles will be allowed through from noon to 1 and after 5 p.m. This schedule is subject to change. Please limit travel to critical needs only and be prepared for significant delays.
Mendocino County residents can receive food assistance today at the Fort Bragg Food Bank from 10am to 4 pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. For a hot meal, residents can visit the Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 111 E. Commercial St. Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program. Tomorrow, the Point Arena Food Pantry is hosting a food distribution at 24000 S. Highway 1 at the VFW Hall from 830 to 10:30 am. Call 882-2137 for additional information.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at Wildberries Marketplace located at 747 13th Street in Arcata from 12 noon to 6pm. And as always, the blood bank is open Monday thru Friday, located at 2524 Harrison Avenue in Eureka. To schedule an appointment to donate, visit nccbb.net
Tomorrow, and every Tuesday, between noon and 3 pm, you can recharge at the Redway Baptist Church. For those living without a home, Bridging the Gap Ministries will welcome you for a hot meal, electronics recharging, warm clothing, and, as needed, there’s limited outdoor living supplies available. Get recharged every Tuesday, that’s tomorrow, from noon to 3pm at the Redway Baptist Church at 1055 Redway Drive. CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year-round to avoid receiving a violation.
Today, Monday, March 10th, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
