Food for People will be hosting food distributions around Humboldt County today. The Eureka Choice Pantry located at 307 W 14th Street will be open from 10 am until 3:45 pm today. The Arcata Pantry at 501 9th Street is open today from 4 to 6 pm. In Fortuna, the pantry at 2292 Newburg Road will be open from 10 am until noon today. And in Garberville, the pantry at 437 Maple Lane will be hosting a distribution from 2 to 4 pm.
The Food For People Mobile Produce Pantry will be at the Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department today between 10am and 12:30pm.
Mendocino County residents, the Willits Food Bank will be hosting a food distribution from 1-430 pm at 344 Railroad Avenue in Willits. Call 459-3333 for details. The Fort Bragg Food Bank will be hosting a food distribution from 10 am until 5:30 pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. For a hot meal, residents can visit the Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 111 East Commercial Street in Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program.
The Mendocino Food and Nutrition Program will be hosting a drive-thru pop up for fresh, premade food distribution in Covelo tomorrow at 76300 Grange Street from 12 noon to 1 pm. Swing by for a delicious premade meal.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department located at 436 Brown Street from 4 to 7:30 pm. And as always, the blood bank is open Monday thru Friday, located at 2524 Harrison Avenue in Eureka. To schedule an appointment to donate, visit nccbb.net
You can help to keep our community trash-free by joining the Eel River Clean-up Project tomorrow, and now, every Thursday. Join ERCP tomorrow at 9:30am at the Garberville Vet’s Park, across from Dazey’s, to help keep Southern Humboldt roadsides trash free.

CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year-round to avoid receiving a violation.
Today, Wednesday, February 12th, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
