Food for People will be hosting food distributions around Humboldt County today. The McKinleyville Pantry at 1615 Heartwood Drive will be open from 10 am until 3 pm. In Myers Flat, the Myers Flat Fire Station at 54 Myers Avenue from noon until 3pm . In Willow Creek, at the Willow Creek Community Resource Center at 38883 State Route-299 from 10am until noon. And in Garberville, the pantry at 437 Maple Lane will be hosting a distribution from 10:30 am until noon. 

Mendocino County residents can receive food assistance today at the Fort Bragg Food Bank from 10 to 5:30 pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. The Willits Food Bank also offers food distribution today from 1-430 pm at 344 Railroad Avenue in Willits. Call 459-3333 for details. Residents can receive a hot meal at Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 111 E. Commercial Street in Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program. 

The Mendocino Food and Nutrition Program will be hosting a drive-thru pop up for fresh, premade food distribution in Willits tomorrow at 1250 Blosser Lane from 10am to 1130 am. Swing by for a delicious premade meal.

CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year-round to avoid receiving a violation.

Today, Thursday, April 3rd, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
