According to CalTrans, State Route 271 will be fully closed at Bear Pen Rd for emergency work. State Route 36 continues to experience full and partial closures: Route 36 Full Closure from 0.6 mi West of Devils Elbow Picnic Area to Devils Elbow Picnic Area / One-way traffic between noon and 1:00 p.m. *ONLY*. Route 36 One-way Traffic Operation From Pamplin Grove to Redwood House Rd due to bridge work. 

Today, and every Tuesday between Noon and 3 pm, you can recharge at the Redway Baptist Church. For those living without a home, Bridging the Gap Ministries will welcome you for a hot meal, electronics recharging, warm clothing, and, as needed, there’s limited outdoor living supplies available. Get recharged every Tuesday, that’s today, from noon to 3pm at the Redway Baptist Church at 1055 Redway Drive. If you have donations of food or warm coats to offer, or need additional information call 707-223-1560 

The Food For People Mobile Produce Pantry will be in Trinidad today at the Trinidad Library Park in downtown Trinidad at 380 Janis Court, between 10am and 12 Noon.

Food for People will be hosting food distributions around Humboldt County today. The Eureka Choice Pantry located at 307 W 14th Street will be open from 10 am until 3:45 pm today. The McKinleyville Pantry at 1615 Heartwood Drive will be open from 10 am until 3 pm. And in Garberville, the pantry at 437 Maple Lane will be hosting a distribution from 2 to 4 pm. 

The Mendocino Food and Nutrition Program will be hosting a drive-thru pop up for fresh, premade food distribution in Leggett today at 65100 Drive Thru Tree Road from 12 noon to 1 pm. Swing by for a delicious premade meal.

Mendocino County residents can receive a hot meal at Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 111 E. Commercial St. in Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program. 

The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at the Eureka Mall, 800 W. Harris Street from noon until 6pm, and at Safeway located at 475 M Street in Crescent City from 1 pm to 6 pm. And as always, the blood bank is open Monday thru Friday, located at 2524 Harrison Avenue in Eureka. To schedule an appointment to donate, visit nccbb.net

CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year-round to avoid receiving a violation.

Today, Tuesday, April 1st, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
