Food for People is hosting food distributions at the McKinleyville Community Resource Center at 1615 Heartwood Drive between 10 and 3pm and at the Fortuna Pantry at 2292 Newburg Road in Fortuna between 10 and noon.
Mendocino County residents, the Fort Bragg Food Bank will be hosting a food distribution from 10 am until 4 pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. For a hot meal, residents can visit the Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 4:30 to 5:30 pm located at 111 East Commercial Street in Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Additionally, Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program. The Albion Pop Up at 3512 Albion Ridge Rd will be open from 4 to 5pm. The Trinity Lutheran Church at 620 E. Redwood Avenue in Fort Bragg provides a bagged lunch every Monday from 11:30 am until noon.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at the Cal Poly Campus, 1 Harpst Street in Arcata from 11 until 4pm. Contact the blood bank for additional information. Tomorrow, and every Tuesday, between noon and 3 pm, you can recharge at the Redway Baptist Church. For those living without a home, Bridging the Gap Ministries will welcome you for a hot meal, electronics recharging, warm clothing, and, as needed, there’s limited outdoor living supplies available. Get out of the weather every Tuesday, that’s tomorrow, from noon to 3pm at the Redway Baptist Church at 1055 Redway Drive. CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year-round to avoid receiving a violation.
Today, Monday, April 21st, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
