Mendocino County residents can receive food assistance today at the Fort Bragg Food Bank from 12 noon to 3 pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. For a hot meal, residents can visit the Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 58 Bush St. Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program. Tomorrow, the Point Arena Food Pantry is hosting a food distribution at 24000 S. Highway 1 at the VFW Hall from 830 to 12 noon. Call 882-2137 for additional information.
Food for People will be hosting two food distributions in Humboldt County today. The McKinleyville Pantry at 1615 Heartwood Drive will be open from 10 am until 3 pm. And in Fortuna, the pantry at 2292 Newburg Road will be open from 10 am until noon today.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at Wildberries Marketplace located at 747 13th Street in Arcata from 12 noon to 6pm. And as always, the blood bank is open Monday thru Friday, located at 2524 Harrison Avenue in Eureka. To schedule an appointment to donate, visit nccbb.net
Today the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors is holding a special meeting for budget hearings from 10am to 7pm in the BOS Chambers located at 825 5th Street in Eureka. For more information, visit humboldtgov.org
Tomorrow, and every Tuesday, between noon and 3 pm, you can recharge at the Redway Baptist Church. For those living without a home, Bridging the Gap Ministries will welcome you for a hot meal, electronics recharging, warm clothing, and, as needed, there’s limited outdoor living supplies available. Get recharged every Tuesday, that’s tomorrow, from noon to 3pm at the Redway Baptist Church at 1055 Redway Drive. CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year–round to avoid receiving a violation.
Today, Monday, February 10th, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
