Food for People will be hosting food distributions around Humboldt County today. The Eureka Choice Pantry located at 307 W 14th Street will be open from 10 am until 3:45 pm today. And in Garberville, the pantry at 437 Maple Lane will be hosting a distribution from 2 to 4 pm. The Food For People Mobile Produce Pantry will be in Redway today, in the Baptist Church parking lot, located at 1055 Redway Drive, between 10:30am and 12:30pm.
Today, and every Tuesday, between noon and 3 pm, you can recharge at the Redway Baptist Church. For those living without a home, Bridging the Gap Ministries will welcome you for a hot meal, electronics recharging, warm clothing, and, as needed, there’s limited outdoor living supplies available. Get recharged every Tuesday, that’s today, from noon to 3pm at the Redway Baptist Church at 1055 Redway Drive. Mendocino County residents, the Point Arena Food Pantry is hosting a food distribution at 24000 S. Highway 1 at the VFW Hall from 830am to 10:30 am and from 3 to 4pm. Call 882-2137 for additional information. For a hot meal, residents can visit the Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 111 East Commercial Street in Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at Valley Pacific Petroleum located at 1100 W. 14th Street in Eureka from 9 am until 12 noon, at the Eureka VA Clinic located at 930 W. Harris street from 1:30 pm until 4 pm, and at the Humboldt County Office of Education located at 901 Myrtle Avenue in Eureka from 10 am until 3 pm. CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year-round to avoid receiving a violation.
Today, Tuesday, February 11th, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
