Whale Gulch resident Dave Taylor is still missing. Dave was last seen at the Whitethorn Post Office on February 6, 2025. He is associated with a tan or silver, 90’s style, two-door Nissan Pathfinder. Dave is a white male adult, 84 years old, with white hair, and a full white beard. He is 6’5” tall, weighing approximately 185-190 lbs. He was last seen wearing layered dark jackets including a maroon plaid and dark brown jacket, blue jeans, brown boots and wearing eye glasses. If you have seen Dave or or have any information on the vehicle he was driving including where he obtained the vehicle, please contact the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office at 707-463-4086, select option 1. The Food For People Mobile Produce Pantry will be in Blue Lake today at the Community Resource Center at 111 Greenwood Ave between 10am and 2pm.
Today the McKinleyville Pantry will be open from 10 am to 3 pm, located at 1615 Heartwood Drive. The Willow Creek Pantry will be open today from 10 am until 12 noon, located at 38883 Highway 299. The Garberville Pantry will be open from 10:30 am to 12 noon at the Garberville Presbyterian Church located at 437 Maple Lane.
The Mendocino Food and Nutrition Program will be hosting a drive-thru pop up for fresh, premade food distribution in Laytonville today at 300 Cahto Drive from 12 noon to 1 pm. Swing by for a delicious premade meal.
Mendocino County residents can receive food assistance today at the Mendocino Community Food Pantry will also be hosting a food distribution today, and every Thursday, from 2 to 4pm at 44831 Main Street next to the Mendocino Presbyterian Church. Residents can receive a hot meal at Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 58 Bush St. Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Additionally, the Anderson Valley Senior Center has hot meals available for dinner today at the Veterans Hall in Booneville. For details, call 895-3609. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program.
Today the Citizens’ Advisory Committee on Measure Z Expenditures Meeting will take place at the BOS Chambers located at 825 5th Street in Eureka from 2 to 4 pm. Those wanting additional information can visit the county website at humboldtgov.org

CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year-round to avoid receiving a violation.
