The Mendocino Food and Nutrition Program will be hosting a drive-thru pop up for fresh, premade food distribution in Willits today at 1250 Blosser Lane from 10am to 1130 am. Swing by for a delicious premade meal.
Mendocino County residents can receive food assistance today at the Fort Bragg Food Bank from 4pm to 6pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. The Mendocino Community Food Pantry will also be hosting a food distribution today, and every Thursday, from 2 to 4pm at 44831 Main Street next to the Mendocino Presbyterian Church. Residents can receive a hot meal at Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 58 Bush St. Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Additionally, the Anderson Valley Senior Center has hot meals available for dinner today at the Veterans Hall in Booneville. For details, call 895-3609. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program.
Food for People will be hosting a food distribution for the Myers Flat Community today at the fire station located at 54 Myers Avenue from 12 noon until 3 pm. The Garberville Pantry will be open today from 10:30 am to 12 noon at 437 Maple Lane. In Willow Creek at the Community Resource Center located at 38883 Hwy 299, food distribution will take place from 10 am until 12 noon. Additionally, the McKinleyville Pantry will be open today at 1615 Heartwood Drive from 10 am to 3 pm.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at Safeway located at 701 South Fortuna Boulevard from 10 am to 4pm, and at Eureka Natural Foods located at 2165 Central Avenue in McKinleyville from 11am to 5pm.And as always, the blood bank is open Monday thru Friday, located at 2524 Harrison Avenue in Eureka. Tonight’s talk show from 7-8pm will be “Off the Cuff” with Sue Moloney and guests and you, the callers. “Off the Cuff” is a new show hosted by Sue Moloney. This month her guest will be Kim Elia. CAL FIRE has lifted the requirement for residents in the state responsibility area to obtain a CAL FIRE burn permit, however, an air quality air permit is required year round to avoid receiving a violation.
Today, Thursday, January 2nd IS a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
