The Food For People Mobile Produce Pantry will be in Fortuna today at the Fortuna Community Services at 2331 Rohnerville Road between 10am and 12:30pm.
Food for People will be hosting food distributions around Humboldt County today. The Eureka Choice Pantry located at 307 W 14th Street will be open from 10 am until 3:45 pm today. The McKinleyville Pantry at 1615 Heartwood Drive will be open from 10 am until 3 pm. In Fortuna, the pantry at 2331 Rohnerville Rd will be open from 10 am until 12:30pm today. The Arcata Pantry at 501 9th Street is open today from 4 to 6 pm. And in Garberville, the pantry at 437 Maple Lane will be hosting a distribution from 2 to 4 pm.
Mendocino County residents can receive food assistance today at the Fort Bragg Food Bank from 10 to 5:30 pm today at 910 north Franklin Street in Fort Bragg. Anderson Valley hosts a food distribution today, at the Anderson Valley Grange, 9800 Hwy 128 in Boonville from 2:30 to 5:30 PM.
Mendocino Coast Hospitality House, 237 N. McPherson St. in Fort Bragg, has Meals Mon-Fri at 3 P.M and shower and laundry facilities from 10 until 2pm. Redwood Coast Seniors, 409 N. Harold St. in Fort Bragg, serves meals weekdays from 11:30 until 1:15pm. Plowshares Peace and Justice Center, 1346 S. State St. in Ukiah serves a meal at 11:30 until noon Monday through Friday.
The Willits Food Bank also offers food distribution today from 1-430 pm at 344 Railroad Avenue in Willits. Call 459-3333 for details. Residents can receive a hot meal at Willits Daily Bread, Monday thru Thursday for Dinner, from 5:30-6:30pm located at 111 E. Commercial Street in Willits. For info, call 459-3947. Seniors in Willits can participate in the Willits Seniors Home Meal Delivery program, Monday through Friday. Contact 459-6826 if you’d like information on this program.
The Northern California Community Blood Bank’s blood mobile will be at Eureka VA Clinic at 9:30 W. Harris St from 10 until 4pm between, and at the McKinleyville Shopping Center at 1505 City Center Rd from 11 until 5pm. Reminder, burn permits are required for ALL open burning. Burn hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Burn piles are limited to 4’ x 4’, unless otherwise stated by a fire agency. You can only burn vegetative matter.
Today, Wednesday, May 7th, is a permissive burn day in Mendocino, Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties.
As of May 1st, , the CAL FIRE Humboldt – Del Norte Unit requires both Standard and Non-Standard Burn Permit holders in State Responsibility Areas, to also obtain a CAL FIRE Burn Permit. A North Coast Unified Air Quality Management District (NCUAQMD) burn permit is still required year-round and contains the permittee’s designated burn zone.
