BURNING HAS BEEN SUSPENDED IN ALL OF TRINITY, MENDOCINO, HUMBOLDT & DEL NORTE COUNTIES.
____________________________________________________________
Just a reminder, the burn suspension is still in effect despite any recent rainfall. Anyone discovered with illegal burn piles could face citations and may be held responsible for the costs of fire suppression. It’s important to note that over 90% of wildfires are human-caused and preventable, adding unnecessary strain on fire personnel during an already challenging season. Please continue to follow local guidelines to help keep our communities safe.
This concludes the Community Safety and Awareness Report, which can be heard weekdays at 11am, 3pm, and as needed right here on KMUD.
