Ferndale Repertory Theatre Presents: Cinderella

Ferndale Repertory Theatre (FRT) is thrilled to present Rodgers & Hammerstein’s
enchanting musical fairy tale, Cinderella (Enchanted Edition), just in time for the
holiday season! Running from November 22 through December 22, this beloved
classic, based on the unforgettable 1997 teleplay featuring Brandy and Whitney
Houston, invites audiences of all ages to believe in the magic of dreams coming true.
Cinderella (Enchanted Edition) with music by Richard Rodgers, book and lyrics by
Oscar Hammerstein II, adapted for the stage by Tom Briggs, and from the teleplay by
Robert L. Freedman is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf
of The Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization.
Holiday Magic for All Ages
Cinderella promises to captivate audiences of all ages with Rodgers &
Hammerstein’s unforgettable melodies, a cast of talented local performers, and a
story that celebrates the power of kindness, hope, and believing in the impossible.
This production brings the beloved fairy tale to life with dazzling musical moments,
humor, and heartfelt emotion—making it the perfect holiday outing for families,
friends, and anyone who loves a bit of magic in their season.

A Legacy of Enchantment
This season’s Cinderella marks FRT’s third time bringing this beloved story to life,
having previously delighted audiences in 1988 and 2006. As part of our special
season celebrating remounts, revivals, and re-imagined works, we’re thrilled to
present the Enchanted Edition for the very first time. This unique adaptation, inspired
by the 1997 television film starring Brandy and Whitney Houston, adds a fresh twist to
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s classic. With familiar songs like “In My Own Little Corner”,
“The Sweetest Sounds”, and “Impossible” alongside new scenes and magical
elements, this Enchanted Edition breathes new life into the fairy tale, inviting
