FOLC’s Summer Adventure Camp

As summer fast approaches, so does another year of Summer Adventure Camp. This will be the 12th year that we have been taking local and visiting youth, ages 4-13, into the diverse ecosystems of the Lost Coast region! We love exploring the great outdoors with the children – and each age group, as well as each individual – experiences nature in different ways. 

We pride ourselves on offering a quality program and being able to provide full or partial scholarships for families who need assistance. More families than ever have asked for scholarships this year. Therefore, we respectfully reach out to the local community to help support Summer Adventure Camp. $275 is the cost for a full week of camp. For children 10-13 years old who decide to participate in one of the optional camp outs, the cost is $325. If you feel that you can contribute to this program, any amount is much appreciated and put to good use!  Donations can be made out to Friends of the Lost Coast and mailed to P.O. Box 69, Whitethorn, CA 95589. You can also donate online with a credit/debit card – or via Paypal or Venmo. Please be sure to include a note with your online donation, stating it is for Summer Adventure Camp or SAC.

Though all the weeks are almost full, if you know of a child interested to go to camp, here is the schedule:
                              
WEEK 1: June 23 thru 27 – 10am-4pm  10-13 year olds

WEEK 2: July 7 thru 11 – 10am-4pm  7-9 year olds

WEEK 3: July 14 thru 18- 10am-4pm  4-6 year olds

WEEK 4: July 21 thru 25 – 10am-4pm  10-13 year olds

WEEK 5: July 28 thru August 1 – 10am-4pm  7-9 year olds

WEEK 6: August 4 thru 8 – 10am-4pm  4-6 year olds
