GOODWILL ~ REDWOOD EMPIRE GOOD4YOUTH JOB SKILLS PROGRAM

Goodwill ~ Redwood Empire is proud to announce that the 8 th cohort of our Good4Youth program will kick off on February 18 th , 2025. This five-week workshop series helps youth build work readiness
and then gain real-life work experience through a 90-day paid internship. Good4Youth is
offered free to youth ages 15-20 interested in joining the workforce. This program is fully
funded by Goodwill ~ Redwood Empire through generous community donations &
support.

Good4Youth allows participants to learn by offering education, coaching, and mentoring on what it takes to enter the workforce and gain the skills to succeed. The curriculum covers career exploration, resume building, acing an interview, employer expectations, and interpersonal skills. Local professionals are invited as guest speakers to share information about their jobs:
education needed, work culture/environment, expectations, what they like about their work/employer,
and workplace challenges.

Participants who complete the workshops will receive a Work Readiness for Youth certification and the
opportunity to participate in a three-month paid internship at Goodwill. The internship enables the youth to put what they learned in the workshops into action while also gaining great experience to add to their resumes. A recent graduate of the Good4Youth program shared their experience with the program
saying, “I found that I gained confidence with being able to step into new
situations and interact with people out of my age group. The confidence I gained
through participating in the program has given me a sense of freedom.”

Goodwill ~ Redwood Empire is excited to support youth to gain skills to succeed in the
