Mendocino College Annual Fall Plant Sale
The Agriculture Department of the Mendocino College will be holding their annual fall plant sale. Fall is the ideal season for planting perennials, especially California natives! Planting in the fall allows plants to develop strong root systems throughout the winter in preparation for the next summer. They have some fun new varieties of Ca natives great for native pollinators and wildlife. They also have a large variety of organic winter veggies like broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage, as well as herbs and greens perfect for your winter garden. All proceeds go directly back to the Agriculture Department to fund student workers, lab supplies, class projects and tools for the garden. The sale will be held on Friday September 26th from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday September 27th from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the Agriculture Department of the Mendocino College on 1000 Hensley Creek Road in Ukiah. There is no entrance fee but please remember to bring cash or checks because they do not accept card payments. Happy Gardening!
