Missing Person Case Update: $1,000 Reward Offered for Information on Michael Bounds’ Whereabouts

In the ongoing search for missing person Michael Bounds, a $1,000 reward is now being offered for any information that leads to his whereabouts. Bounds, a resident of Eureka, California, went missing on November 27th after leaving his home to go grocery shopping for a friend.

According to Bounds’ daughter, Brenna Crawford, the family has been working tirelessly to try and find any clues about her father’s disappearance. They have raised the reward money mostly through a GoFundMe campaign, with some additional support from a local donor. “There’s been no new tips or leads at all. It’s been ice cold,” Crawford said in a recent interview. “We’ve really searched the Pine Hill and Elk River areas a lot, but we don’t have any leads on where to look next.”

Bounds’ car was found a few blocks from his friend’s apartment three days after he went missing, but the trail has since gone cold. Law enforcement has faced challenges in accessing Bounds’ cell phone data due to legal hurdles in obtaining a warrant. “They need a warrant for that, and they’re unable to get one,” Crawford explained. “But it sounds like they were going to ask for a limited scope warrant where they could pull his phone log between certain hours on that Wednesday.”

Without any new information or leads, Crawford said the family is stuck in a cycle of retracing Bounds’ last known steps, desperate to find any potential clue. The disappearance has taken a significant emotional toll, leaving Crawford feeling like they’ve “hit a brick wall” in the investigation.
