Extended Forecast: A weather disturbance is moving through Northern California, bringing a very small chance of brief showers or thunderstorms to the far eastern edge of Trinity County, though any storms will likely stay outside the county. The main impact will be a thick marine layer (coastal fog and clouds) that will push unusually far inland this week, potentially reaching 3,000 feet high by Friday and bringing light drizzle to coastal areas like Humboldt Bay. Temperatures will start cool near the coast but begin warming up Saturday, with some valleys in Trinity County facing dangerous heat by Sunday and Monday – particularly around Willow Creek and Big Bar where temperatures could exceed 100°F. A complex weather pattern will develop with a spinning low-pressure system off the coast that could potentially bring stronger thunderstorms early to mid next week, followed by significant heating in the interior valleys later in the week as high pressure builds over the Desert Southwest.
