SYNOPSIS:  Near or slightly below normal temperatures are

expected again Wednesday. Warming is expected again Thursday with

additional warming Friday and hot weather continuing into early

next week

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 88. Light north northwest wind becoming north 8 to 13 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 73. Calm wind

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Mostly clear, with a low around 55. North wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light north northwest in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph

Along the Coast: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. North northeast wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph

Extended Forecast: A weather system is currently moving through the area and could bring some thunderstorms, especially at night, though the chance decreases during Wednesday’s daytime hours. By Wednesday night and Thursday, offshore winds will help clear the skies and start warming things up, with inland areas reaching the 90s and the coast staying in the 60s. Friday brings much hotter weather, with many valley areas climbing over 100 degrees while the coast remains in the 60s. This dangerous heat is expected to continue through the weekend, and weather officials may issue heat advisories for the hottest areas.
