NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE REPORT

Thursday, July 10th, 2025

SYNOPSIS:   High pressure is building and generally hot and dry

weather is expected for the next week or so. The hottest

temperatures will start in the south on Friday and work their way

north on Saturday and Sunday. Northeast winds overnight on

Thursday and Friday will help to limit the stratus and potentially

bring warmer temperatures to the coast.

TODAY:

Inland: Areas of smoke before 11am. Sunny, with a high near 91. North wind 5 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Along the Coast: Areas of smoke before 11am. Sunny, with a high near 78. North northwest wind around 8 mph.

TONIGHT:

Inland: Areas of smoke after 2am. Mostly clear, with a low around 55. North northeast wind 3 to 7 mph.

Along the Coast: Areas of smoke after 2am. Mostly clear, with a low around 62. Breezy, with a north northwest wind 16 to 21 mph decreasing to 6 to 11 mph in the evening. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph

Extended Forecast: Wind patterns blowing from inland toward the ocean will help keep morning clouds away from the coast and bring warmer temperatures as high pressure moves into the area. Starting Thursday, it’s going to get very hot inland – over 100 degrees in many valley areas – while coastal areas will stay cooler in the 60s. The extreme heat will peak over the weekend, with some interior valleys potentially reaching over 105 degrees, prompting heat advisories and watches for inland counties. The hot weather will continue into early next week, though temperatures may drop slightly as ocean air starts pushing back inland.
