Pardoned Capitol Rioter Arrested in Humboldt for Alleged Copper Theft

A man once identified as a participant in the January 6th Capitol riot has been arrested in Humboldt County for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of copper wiring.
According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Brent Holdridge is now in custody following a local investigation. Holdridge, who was granted clemency by former President Trump earlier this year, has a criminal history spanning nearly two decades in the region.
Original reporting by Kym Kemp of Redheaded Blackbelt confirmed that Holdridge faced multiple federal charges related to the Capitol breach before receiving a pardon in January 2025.
Authorities say Holdridge’s past was not a factor in the current case, but his arrest adds to a growing list of January 6 defendants who’ve faced new criminal charges post-pardon.
Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at (707) 445-7251 or call the Crime Tip Line at (707) 268-2539.
