Severe Weather Alerts Issued for North Coast: Winter Storm & Flood Warnings in Effect

Multiple weather advisories are in effect as heavy rain and storms impact the North Coast. A Winter Storm Warning is in place for Del Norte and northeastern Humboldt, while a Flood Warning has been issued for the Eel River at Fernbridge, expected to crest at 21 feet. Flooding threats extend to low-lying areas, including Cannibal Island Road.

Roads remain hazardous, with Highway 101 reopening to one-way traffic after a major slide. Chain requirements and closures affect several highways. More rain—and even hail—is expected through the week.
