The sacred spiral which manifests everywhere in this universe, including the cochlea of the mammalian ear is the template of this musical journey. As above so below, the cochlea is the microcosmic representation of the spiral galaxy. In this musical journey, we explore music omnidirectionally, encompassing all of cyclic time and space. The Cochlea features music of many genres including
neoclassical, neoclassical industrial, neofolk, dark ambient, world fusion, tribal folk, avant-garde, darkwave, experimental noise, black metal, folk metal, hip hop and more.
Instrumental music (including vocal instrumentation) will be prioritized over lyric-based music due to the limitations of some languages.
At the core of our philosophy is the auditory autonomy of the artist and the listener. The Cochlea supports and promotes artists not heard on corporate mind decay
radio. For too long the collective human mind has been contracted and encapsulated into a space with boldly defined boundaries. With no aversion to sharing the thousands of known musical instruments found on this planet, our intent will be to help liberate and expand the mind to its original boundless state which is as vast as the universe.
