SYNOPSIS: Today will be mostly dry, but the weather is starting to change. Expect some clouds in the sky as moisture from the Pacific Northwest rolls in. Winds will be gusty in some areas tonight and into early Wednesday.

TODAY:

Inland: Partly sunny, with a high near 65. Calm wind becoming southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Along the Coast: Sunny, with a high near 53. North northwest wind 6 to 10 mph.

TONIGHT: 

Inland: Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 39. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Along the Coast: Patchy fog between 8pm and 5am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 38. North northwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Extended Forecast: Starting late Tuesday night, heavy rain and mountain snow are expected to hit, continuing through Wednesday. The snow will be heavy in the mountains, and rain will affect lower areas. Winds will also be strong from the south tonight into Wednesday morning. By Wednesday night and Thursday, snow levels will drop below 2000 feet, meaning even some lower elevations could see snow. There’s also a chance of small hail on Wednesday night and Thursday. After this storm, more rain and snow are expected later this week and into the weekend.
