SYNOPSIS: Coastal areas are seeing increasing fog and low clouds, which may keep temperatures cooler, but inland areas will enjoy sunny skies with above-average daytime highs, reaching the mid-60s to 70s in valleys.

Extended Forecast: Warm and dry conditions will persist inland through midweek, while the coast remains cooler under fog and stratus clouds. A weak system will pass through Wednesday night into Thursday, bringing some light showers or drizzle, mostly along the north coast, but significant rainfall is unlikely. Late in the week, temperatures will remain above average, but a stronger front over the weekend could bring increased chances of light rain, particularly in northern Humboldt and Del Norte counties, with the highest rainfall totals expected in Del Norte. Showers may linger into Sunday before drier conditions return next week, accompanied by stronger offshore winds.
