Weather & Tide Report – February 26, 2025
SYNOPSIS: Expect a sunny and much warmer day with only a few thin, high-level clouds. Afternoon temperatures will be about 10 degrees above normal, with some valleys reaching the low to mid-70s. If you’re heading to the beach, be cautious of sneaker waves.
TODAY:
Inland: Sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon.
Along the Coast: Sunny, with a high near 61. Calm wind becoming west 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon.
TONIGHT:
Inland: Patchy fog between 10pm and 1am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 42. Calm wind.
Along the Coast: Patchy fog before 1am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 41. Calm wind.
Extended Forecast: The warm weather will continue through Friday as a high-pressure system remains in control. By late Thursday and Friday, a low-pressure system off the coast may bring some clouds and very light showers, though most precipitation will likely evaporate before reaching the ground. The ridge will start weakening on Friday, allowing for a shift toward wetter conditions over the weekend. Rain chances increase Saturday and even more on Sunday as a storm system moves in, potentially bringing thunderstorms. While there’s still uncertainty in rainfall amounts, significant totals are not expected at this time.
