Weather & Tide Report – February 5, 2025
SYNOPSIS: Cold and wintry weather is setting in as a storm system moves through the area. Light rain is tapering off, allowing rivers to recede from flood levels. There is a chance of small hail and even low-elevation snow, especially in northern inland areas. Roads may become slick, particularly if hail accumulates and melts into ice, so drivers should be cautious.

Extended Forecast: Another round of rain and snow is expected on Thursday, with snow levels around 2,500 to 3,000 feet, which could impact mountain roads and highway passes. By Friday and Saturday, temperatures will remain chilly, with overnight lows especially cold, though precipitation will likely be minimal. The Russian and Navarro Rivers have crested and are receding, though another small rise in water levels may occur on Friday.
