SYNOPSIS: Expect a dry and sunny day with temperatures reaching the mid-50s to low 60s in most areas. In the warmest interior valleys, highs may climb to the mid-60s. Nights will remain chilly, with temperatures in the low 30s for coastal valleys and mid-20s to low 30s in Trinity valleys.

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 62. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Areas of frost before 10am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 57. Light and variable wind.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Mostly clear, with a low around 38. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Patchy frost after 4am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 36. Calm wind.

Extended Forecast: The dry and mild weather pattern will continue through the next week. High pressure will dominate, keeping skies clear and temperatures above normal during the day. Nights will stay cold, with freezing temperatures likely this weekend in both coastal and interior valleys. Breezy northeast winds will return along the coastal headlands and exposed ridges this weekend, creating locally windy conditions. Fog and low clouds may develop Thursday night into Friday morning in interior valleys as a weak cold front approaches. Cooler air will settle in by the weekend, bringing a dry, crisp feel and enhancing overnight cooling.
