SYNOPSIS: The weather will be mostly dry with clear skies across most of Northwest California. High temperatures will range from the mid-50s to mid-60s inland and low to mid-50s along the coast. Coastal areas may see patchy fog or low clouds in the morning, but skies should become partly cloudy by the afternoon. Breezy conditions are expected in higher elevations due to easterly winds.

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 63. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Light and variable wind.

Inland: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 40. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Cloudy during the early evening, then becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Calm wind.

Extended Forecast: Expect a continuation of dry weather with above-average daytime temperatures and chilly nights over the next week. A few coastal areas could see low clouds or fog in the mornings, especially Thursday night into Friday. Breezy to windy conditions are likely this weekend along the coastal ridges and headlands, with isolated gusts up to 30 mph. Temperatures may dip to near or below freezing in some valleys and coastal areas during the weekend and early next week, while spots in thermal belts might stay milder. This stable winter pattern is typical for January, with no significant rain expected for at least another week.
