SYNOPSIS: Today will be mostly dry with mild highs in the lower 60s, making it warmer than usual for this time of year. Nights will remain chilly, so dress warmly if you’re out late or early.

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 66. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Patchy frost before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 61. Light and variable wind.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Patchy fog before 1am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. Calm wind.

Extended Forecast: Expect dry weather for the next six days, but chilly mornings and nights, especially this weekend, when interior valleys may drop into the teens and coastal areas into the upper 20s. Gusty winds are forecast to return Friday through Sunday, with stronger gusts along the coast on Friday and in the interior on Saturday, where winds could exceed 45 mph in places like Lake County. Light precipitation is possible late Friday night into Saturday night for Lake County, with a slight chance of snow above 3,000 feet. A better chance of rain for the region arrives next Wednesday night into Thursday. Until then, expect clear skies and cold conditions, especially in the mornings.
