SYNOPSIS: Expect light, on-and-off rain in Del Norte and Humboldt counties this morning. Skies will clear gradually, and conditions will dry out by tonight.

TODAY: 

Inland: Patchy fog before 1pm. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 55. Light north wind.

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. North northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 39. Light north northeast wind.

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. North wind 5 to 9 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Extended Forecast: Starting Tuesday, dry weather and warmer temperatures will settle in as high pressure builds. Inland areas may see valley fog in the mornings, while higher elevations in Lake County could experience gusty winds, with speeds potentially reaching 40 mph. Nights will be chilly, with temperatures dropping into the 20s and 30s in calm interior valleys, while ridge tops stay warmer in the 40s. By Friday, there’s a chance of very light rain in Del Norte County, accompanied by increased cloud cover. However, high pressure is expected to return over the weekend, maintaining mostly dry and stable conditions.
