Inland: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. High near 54. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Along the Coast: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 1pm and 4pm, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. High near 55. Calm wind becoming west northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
TONIGHT:
Inland: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 7pm. Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 44. Light north wind.
Along the Coast: Showers, mainly before 1am. Low around 41. North northeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Extended Forecast: Rain will ease overnight as cooler, drier air moves in, bringing chilly temperatures, especially on Friday night, with lows possibly dipping into the mid-20s inland and low 30s along the coast. Frost is likely in some areas. This weekend, another system will bring warmer temperatures and light rain on Saturday night, with heavier rain and possible mountain snow expected Sunday evening. Snow levels may drop as low as 3,000 to 4,000 feet by Monday morning, though temperatures could vary. A warm, dry spell may develop mid-week, providing a brief break from the rain.
