SYNOPSIS: Light showers will continue through the morning but should taper off by this afternoon. Snow levels are around 3,500 to 4,000 feet, with some snow possible as low as 3,000 feet in higher areas. It will be calm and cool, with dry weather settling in for the next few days.

TODAY: 

Inland: A 20 percent chance of rain before 10am. Areas of fog before 1pm. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 57. Light and variable wind.

Along the Coast: A 30 percent chance of rain before 10am. Mostly cloudy early, then gradual clearing, with a high near 55. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Patchy fog before 1am, then patchy fog after 4am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 32. Light north wind.

Along the Coast: Patchy fog between 10pm and 1am. Patchy frost after 4am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 35. Northeast wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening. A freeze watch is in effect overnight from midnight until 10 am tomorrow.

Extended Forecast: Dry and cool weather will continue through Friday, with clear skies and cooler-than-normal temperatures. Expect frost and freezing temperatures in interior valleys, with lows in the mid-20s to low 30s, and a high chance of freezing temperatures along the coast early Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Fog is likely to form in the valleys, possibly dense in some areas. Thanksgiving Day will bring calm and cool weather with highs in the mid-50s to low 60s. Dry weather is expected to persist into the weekend, with cold nights and some warming during the day, especially inland.
