Extended Forecast: In the days ahead, expect chilly mornings with temperatures dropping into the low to mid-30s in southern Mendocino, Lake, and interior Humboldt, leading to potential frost. Areas like Hayfork and Covelo might even experience freezing conditions, while coastal spots near Humboldt Bay could see patchy frost. This weekend, there’s a chance of rain, particularly in Del Norte and northern Humboldt, with about a 70% chance of half an inch in Del Norte and a 40% chance in Humboldt. Looking into early next week, a more significant rain system could bring 1-2 inches to Del Norte and Humboldt, possibly with some snow at higher elevations.
