SYNOPSIS: Clear skies and cool temperatures will continue today due to high pressure, with inland areas experiencing chilly overnight lows in the 30s. Coastal fog may return tonight as winds ease up.

TODAY: 

Inland: Sunny, with a high near 76. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Sunny, with a high near 63. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Clear, with a low around 37. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Patchy fog after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 46. Light south southeast wind.

Extended Forecast: Expect cool nights to persist across interior valleys. This weekend, a small chance of light rain is forecast, mostly for Del Norte and northern Humboldt, with a 60% chance of a tenth of an inch for Del Norte and a 40% chance for Humboldt. Early next week, a more intense rain system could arrive, bringing over a 90% chance of an inch of rain to Del Norte and the King Range, along with gusty southerly winds, especially in coastal areas and Lake County. Inland areas like Trinity, Mendocino, and Lake counties have a 30-50% chance of significant rain. Further details will become clearer soon.
