SYNOPSIS: Today will be mostly sunny, with some coastal fog in the morning and evening. Temperatures may be slightly warmer than yesterday as the skies clear up along the coast.

TODAY: 

Inland: Areas of fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Light and variable wind.

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 61. Calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.

TONIGHT:  

Inland: Increasing clouds, with a low around 48. Calm wind.

Along the Coast: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Calm wind.

Extended Forecast: Clouds will start to increase on Friday, with a chance of rain from Friday evening through Saturday afternoon. The heaviest rain is expected along the Mendocino coastline and King Range, where up to 2 inches is possible, but other areas might see only a light drizzle or nothing at all. By Saturday afternoon, the rain should clear as high pressure builds, potentially causing fog in the valleys. Sunday will be dry, though there’s a slight chance of frost if rainfall is minimal. More rain could return by midweek, though the timing is still uncertain.
